Lady Death Demonicron Characters
The hunt starts with two fighters. The story may add more.
Lady Death Demonicron is canonical Coffin Comics, not a generic white-haired fighter with a scythe glued on. Brian Pulido co-wrote the game with Mike Maclean. The playable core at launch is Lady Death and Ravenheart. Kickstarter and store copy also say the pair will recruit additional allies on the 15-level hunt. Until those names are on a character select screen, treat them as story unlocks rather than a hidden online fighter pass.
This hub is for roster questions. How does Lady Death actually fight? Why is Ravenheart in the game? Can you swap mid-stage? Does co-op force both on screen? For inputs and Overkills, stay in the combat guide. For who stands on the left side of a couch session, use the co-op guide.
Lady Death
Hope (Lady Death) wants to mourn a fallen friend. An infernal portal tears open at the cemetery gates and the hunt begins. In game she is the high-move character: sword strings, scythe vertical/horizontal/throw, a levitate crowd clear, a reveal attack that stuns and detonates, and six special sword states including a flaming blade. Demo HUD portraits show her with a life count, a blue meter, score, and a hit counter. She is the default for solo play and the character most of the walkthrough assumes.
Her look is the comic: white hair, pale skin, black costume, cape. The game is rated for revealing costumes and comic gore. If you are picking a fighter for a public stream, know that the camera does not shy away from either.
Ravenheart
Ravenheart is a haunted warrior with a savage sword and the touch of death. He is the co-op partner, not a reskin of Lady Death. Store text asks whether even his strength will be enough — that is flavor, but it also signals a heavier, less aerial kit. Steam community threads already ask who the second playable character is; the answer is Ravenheart from day one of marketing, with later allies still unnamed in public materials.
If you only own one pad, you still play as Lady Death. Ravenheart matters when a second player sits down. Split-screen is local. Steam lists shared/split-screen only to queue into with a friend in another city.
Enemies you will actually see
Fodder is not nameless gray blobs. Steam screenshots already label Razorback, Riot Guard, Crawler, and Draptor. Razorbacks are bulky red brutes in stone and industrial stages. Riot Guards wear helmets in the night-city set. Crawlers share space with shield demons. Draptors are the dinosaur-catastrophe enemies on the lava fields. Learning their hurtboxes matters more than memorizing comic issue numbers. Grounded bodies often need a jump kick, which is why demo players thought the anti-air was broken.
Bosses are still lightly documented in public footage. One demo boss ignored stray pokes and required a committed combo. Until launch-week patches, assume elites want Overkill routes from the moves tier rather than tap-tap-tap.
Allies and cameos
Fans asked for Evil Ernie and Vampirella in comment threads. Neither is confirmed as playable. The game is Lady Death canon with Art of Play, not a crossover fighter. If an ally joins in a later level, we will add a page under this hub instead of stuffing names into the two starter bios.
How to read these pages
Each character page covers playstyle, signature tools, co-op jobs, and lore that actually appears in the game pitch. They will not retell thirty years of Chaos/Coffin comics. If you want comic history, the links page points at Coffin Comics. If you want to win the cemetery gate, stay here and then open getting started.
Roster planning for launch night:
- Solo: Lady Death, flaming sword if you find it, scythe throw for the far lane.
- Co-op: Lady Death crowd-clears, Ravenheart holds the heavy lane.
- Trophy runs: no cheat codes in that boot.
- Practice: infinite power from the cheat sheet if your edition includes it.
The digital game goes live 31 August 2026 on Steam, PlayStation, and Xbox. Use the demo until then to learn her jump kick. Ravenheart’s full move card may still expand between demo and the Switch date on 11 September 2026.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for launch week, the Steam demo, and co-op nights.
Who are the playable characters in Lady Death Demonicron?
The marketed starters are Lady Death and Ravenheart. Extra allies were promised during the campaign as story recruits.
Can I play as Ravenheart in single-player?
Public materials frame him as the co-op partner. Confirm the retail character select on launch day; do not assume a full solo campaign for every fighter.
Is Evil Ernie or Vampirella playable?
No confirmation. Comments asked; the studio has not listed them. Stick to Lady Death and Ravenheart until a patch or trailer says otherwise.
Does co-op work online?
No. Steam lists shared/split-screen co-op. Plan a couch session with the co-op guide.
