Lady Death Demonicron Tiers
S, A, and B from footage. Not a patch-week living meta.
This hub ranks tools in Lady Death Demonicron the way a pre-launch wiki should: from the Steam demo, Billy Deakin’s Level 1 tape, store screenshots, and hands-on videos. It is not a living ranked-meta. Digital launch is 31 August 2026 on Steam, PlayStation, and Xbox. Until patches, player counts, and a full move card exist, every letter grade here is a snapshot of public evidence plus a bias toward tools that still work when the blue meter is empty.
Two subpages do the actual ranking. The swords tier covers the six special sword states, including the flaming blade shown in the HUD. The moves tier covers reveal, scythe throw, levitate, jump kick, block, and Overkill routes. Read both before you treat a comment-section “broken” claim as a patch note.
What S, A, and B mean here
S means the tool solves a job that nothing else solves, or it solves that job in every public biome: cemetery gates, hell pits, metal festival, dinosaur fields, industrial catwalks. Jump kick is S for grounded bodies even though it looks like a basic. Reveal is S for stacked Razorbacks even though it costs meter.
A means the tool is strong in the footage we have, with a clear fail case. Scythe throw is A because a wall or a hopping Draptor can eat it. Block is A because it stuffs hops and does not win a boss that ignores pokes.
B means the tool is real, shown, and easy to overvalue. Extra blood is a cheat, not a rank. A taunt that one reviewer thought was a pickup is B until it proves damage. Mash punch is unranked on purpose; it is how demo players got horrible grades.
We do not use C through F. Missing data is labeled unknown, not dumped into a fake bottom tier. Five of the six sword states are unknown by name. Grapples were still missing from early demos. Ranking a grab that is not in the build is how wikis lie.
Evidence rules
- A Steam screenshot with a nameplate (RAZORBACK, RIOT GUARD, CRAWLER, DRAPTOR) beats a rumor.
- Deakin’s commentary beats a 13-minute first-impression hot take when they conflict on facts (sixty moves, six sword states, one flaming icon in that build).
- Official cheat posts beat comment-section Konami codes. Cheats are not tiers. Infinite health does not make punch S.
- Local co-op can change a grade because pickups are shared. A flaming blade on Lady Death is a different assignment than the same drop on Ravenheart.
- If only one biome shows a tool, the grade is provisional. Do not lock a dinosaur-only anti-air as a universal S.
What this list is not
It is not PvP. There is no online ladder. Co-op is split-screen on the same machine.
It is not a character tier. The marketed starters are Lady Death and Ravenheart. Unnamed story recruits are not a hidden S-tier DLC fighter. Evil Ernie is not on the board.
It is not an RPG stat sheet. There is no talent tree in the public build. “Build” means which sword you kept and which special you bank meter for.
It is not a cheat ranking. Arcade and Outlast unlocks sit on modes. One-hit kills will collapse every letter into noise. Turn them off if you care about these grades.
How to use the letters on a real stage
Open getting started and clear the cemetery stretch twice: once spending no meter, once spending every tick on Overkills. If the second run still loses to grounded Crawlers, your jump kick is not S in your hands yet. Then open combat and pick two specials from the moves page. Only then argue with the swords page about a pickup.
On launch week, expect this hub to move. Grapples and remaining air combat were still landing after Comic-Con builds. The demo versus full page lists what the June 2026 slice lacked. A tool that is unknown today can become A on 1 September without this wiki pretending we always knew.
Co-op modifier
If a second pad sits down, apply a house rule: she keeps crowd S-tiers (reveal, levitate, scythe throw). He keeps heavy-lane A-tiers (committed sword strings, anti-armor). Do not both park on the same S pickup. Split-screen already hides the far lane; double-dipping a flaming sword makes the walkthrough worse, not better.
After Switch and physical
Switch digital is 11 September 2026. Handheld analog is a bad place to test motion specials, so some A-tier throws will feel like B in a backpack. Dock it before you mail us a complaint. Physical Switch and PS5 boxes ship from November 2026; the 8-page booklet in those SKUs may name sword states this hub still marks unknown. When a page in that booklet contradicts footage, the booklet wins for names, footage still wins for feel.
Come back after the first patch. Art of Play already rewrote a combat engine once after The Phantom to fit this roster. Letters will move. Unknowns will get names. Until then, use S for jobs, A for strong-with-a-fail-case, B for easy to overvalue, and unknown for everything the camera has not proven.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for launch week, the Steam demo, and co-op nights.
Is this a live Lady Death Demonicron meta?
No. Grades come from the demo and public footage before 31 August 2026. Treat them as a snapshot, then re-read after launch patches.
Why are there only S, A, and B?
Missing data is marked unknown instead of inventing C through F. Five sword states still have no public names.
Where do I rank the flaming sword?
On the swords tier. It is the only special sword state shown as a HUD icon in Deakin's tape.
Where do jump kicks and Overkills sit?
On the moves tier. Jump kick is essential utility, not a flashy extra.
