Edition Comparison

Pre-order prices on the official site moved up from Kickstarter. Use this table as a shopping list, then confirm the checkout page you actually pay. Digital Standard was $34 on Kickstarter and is listed at $40 now. Physical tiers include SKUs that did not exist on Kickstarter at all.

If you only want cheat codes, Hardcore digital is the SKU that lists the sheet. Standard’s move-book teaches combat, not infinite health.

How to choose in one sentence

  • Play on PC or console, no extras: Digital Standard.
  • Want music and a booklet: Digital Deluxe.
  • Want cheats without a box: Digital Deluxe Hardcore.
  • Want a cartridge/disc: Physical Standard.
  • Want disc plus Steam copy: Physical Deluxe.
  • Want the card, prints, and printed cheat card: Physical Deluxe Hardcore.

Keys for digital Steam, PlayStation, and Xbox email 31 August 2026. Switch digital 11 September 2026. Physical manufacturing can slip — see the roadmap. Playtests were a pre-order perk, not the launch build.

Co-op does not need two SKUs. Local split-screen is one machine, two pads. Family Sharing on Steam is extra, not online matchmaking.

If you already backed Kickstarter, do not double-buy Standard digital unless you like paying twice. Check the original tier before you add a shop SKU. Official store and Steam URLs live on links.

After you pay, stop optimizing SKUs and open getting started. The edition will not teach a jump kick.

Region, tax, and platform stores

USD prices on the official shop are pre-order stickers, not a promise that Steam, PlayStation Store, or Nintendo eShop will match them on 31 August 2026. Tax, regional pricing, and platform cut can move the number. If a console store lists a different SKU name, match the bullet list (cheat sheet, booklet, soundtrack) rather than the marketing adjective Deluxe.

Xbox Series buyers use the digital SKUs; there is no Xbox physical tier on the official physical table, which is Switch or PS5 only. Steam is digital-only here. Do not wait for a Steam disc.

Kickstarter backers who already paid $34 for Standard digital should not “upgrade” by buying Standard again at $40. Contact the studio via links if a backer portal offers a paid bump to Hardcore. Double-buying is the most expensive way to get a cheat sheet.

Playtests versus launch keys

Several digital SKUs listed Steam playtest eligibility. That was a pre-launch perk. It does not replace the 31 August 2026 key. If you joined a playtest, you still need the retail license for trophies, Arcade, and the full walkthrough. Keep both emails.

Soundtrack samplers versus full albums only matter if you listen outside the game. In-stage music plays either way. Buy Deluxe for the booklet and album; buy Hardcore for the sheet. Do not buy Hardcore only because a trailer featured a signed band — that trailer is marketing, not a unique SKU flag.

When November 2026 boxes slip, digital owners already playing on Steam should not panic-buy Physical Standard unless they want the cartridge. One digital license is enough for co-op on that machine.
